Video demonstration and montain rescue EC 145 helicopter
Each year, guides, mountain guides, climbing instructors, supported by mountain rescuers, CRS (Republican Mountain Safety Company), PGHM (High Mountain Gendarmerie Peloton) meet on the Vauban fortifications for a demonstration of their know-how and to share their passion for the mountains. The public massed at the foot of the ramparts takes advantage of the spectacle. The rescue helicopter, alias Choucas 05, is going to do a demonstration of winching, if the duty to rescue in the mountains does not retain it. Choucas 05, a superb EC 145 (Eurocopter) intervenes in all the Hautes Alpes (Massif des Ecrins, Queyras, Gapençais etc ...) but also further if required. Please note that other guide companies also organize such events (Ailefroide, La Grave, Queyras, Mont-Blanc etc.).
